How it works

Unlike traditional lasers that deliver more energy in a single pulse, this technology works by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicle and prevents regrowth, while not injuring the surrounding tissue.

IPL also uses light and heat to target active follicles leaving them inactive and unable to grow hair. IPL is also considered safer than traditional lasers.

Results

Long-term hair removal has to affect hair in the active cycle of its growth.  Growth cycles vary depending on body area. Each body area requires re-treatment at different time intervals to achieve maximum results.   
 
Treatments 4-8 weeks apart
 
Most clients notice a significant reduction in hair regrowth after the third treatment. With each treatment, fewer hairs remain as we continue to treat the next batch of follicles that have become active since your last appointment.  
 
Approximately 8 treatments are needed
 
Hair should be shaved prior to your treatment.  After the treatment, you may notice tiny red spots.  In the following days, follicles begin to purge the hair, most of which happens without noticing.  A light exfoliation may be needed if one appears stuck under the skin.  
 
The lighter the skin and the darker and coarser the hair, the easier it is to get the results you want.  We can also treat finer hair or olive skin by choosing the right equipment and settings for you.  Unfortunately, blonde or grey hair without pigment is not dark enough.
