How it works
Radio Frequency (RF) and Near Infrared (NIR) use light and/or heat to strengthen the tissue and smooth the skin. These treatments work by heating the tissue under the skin’s surface to specific temperatures, stimulating the existing collagen and elastin fibers as well as producing new fibers. This begins to improve:
Laxity
Collagen fibers contract and multiply which firms and improves laxity
Texture
Connective tissue contracts to improve the skin’s contour and texture
Circulation
Circulation improves and retained fluids drain
A light exfoliation treatment will be performed first in order to remove dead skin and allow for better product absorption. We’ll first discuss your specific concerns to determine which procedures are right for you.
Radio Frequency (RF) / Near Infrared (NIR) / Infrared with RF are all ways that heat and/or light can be used to firm and tone skin. Slowly heating the dermal tissue to specific temperatures stimulates collagen production, tightens and smoothes skin.
After dead skin has been removed, tissue has been stimulated, and the skin has been primed for increased product efficacy.
